Hey All,

This is your big chance to be on TV! A GLBT travel show called Bump that airs on Logo and other Canada/U.S. stations is coming to Reno next week to film Reno/Tahoe as a GLBT travel destination! (I had written them a letter almost a year ago to try to get them here….)

This is a great opportunity for our community. One segment the production team wants to film during their brief visit is a women’s snowshoeing outing since they know we do that now and then. I have been asked to plan a snowshoe outing next TUESDAY, Feb. 23, leaving from the Mt. Rose Starbucks at 11:30 and returning there by about 2:30. I really want to get women out there…. If you are free that day or can take off work or school to join us, PLEASE DO.

I am extending this invitation to the Lesbian Social/Discussion Group and ANY OTHER LESBIANS for this particular outing.

Please do RSVP so that I can track who is coming for this particular event. It’s a good excuse for a day off work or school! Detail reminders below:

–Who: members of the Lesbian Social/Discussion Group and any LESBIAN friends/acquaintances
–Date: Tues., Feb. 23
–Meeting place/time: Mt. Rose Starbucks 11:30 a.m. (will form car pools from there to snowshoeing site) –Return time: 2:00-2:30 Mt. Rose Starbucks; those who want can stick around for coffee/hot chocolate
–Bring: snowshoes (check into renting at Reno Mountain sports, Mogul Mouse, REI, Lombardi at UNR, etc.), snack, water, “snow” clothes but not too warm as you will get hot walking, camera, sunscreen/lip balm….

If you’re not sure about what to wear (if this is new to you), call me at home between 9 a.m. an 11 p.m.: 852-7229. Also, if you plan to rent snowshoes, you might first check with various people to see about borrowing some or some of us going may have spares.
