Our summer program offers fun and easy 2 hour kayaking excursions on beautiful Lake Tahoe.  Join us for the time of your life!  Are you a hippy gal worried about size and comfort?  Well don’t because our sit on top kayaks are wide and comfortable. 

Have a friend? Get a two-seater and try kayaking together. Either way your tour guides, Laura & Cynthia will be with you on the water all the way.

Your weekend begins with elegant and comfortable accommodations at the El Dorado Hotel & Casino in the heart of downtown Reno – “The Biggest Little City”, where you will be surrounded by fun, food and entertainment.   To make your reservation call toll free, 800-648-5966, and use code HEASE10 to get the best rates!  And we highly suggest you stay through Monday morning to avoid the traffic on I80 and to enjoy another fun evening in Reno.
Friday evening after check-in, meet your hosts, Laura & Cynthia and venture out for Country Western dancing. Lessons will be provided for the uninitiated. Dance, relax and have fun in a gay and straight friendly environment.
Saturday morning the adventure begins. We will gather in the lobby to so we can caravan up to stunning Lake Tahoe, where you will be inspired by white sandy beaches and picturesque rock formations. Then out on the lake in your kayak. After kayaking we will share our adventure over a late lunch on the beach. Returning to enjoy Reno’s night life on your own.

Sunday morning breakfast will be enjoyed at your leisure, then we will caravan up to historic Virginia City for a Docent led tour, shopping and lunch – a great way to end a wonderful weekend in the Reno / Tahoe adventure land!

Level of Difficulty:  Easy to Moderate, 1.5  to 2 hrs of kayaking depending on weather and more specifically the wind (lake wind advisory).

Cancellation Policy  (PLEASE READ):
Deadline for cancellations is 12:00 Noon on Thursday, September 2nd. If you must cancel, fees incurred for equipment reservations and guides will be deducted. A full refund will be offered if the trip is canceled due to inclement weather (high wind warning on the lake) however we will provide the option of hiking the ridge at Mt Rose Meadows which provides stunning views of Lake Tahoe.  I call this “my bucket list hike.”  We will also offer you a credit towards another trip in lieu of the one being cancelled.
Note: Any refund necessary will include a $5 handling fee deduction.
Release forms will be discussed and signed before launching kayaks.
