NORTHERN NEVADA HOPES and THE PICTURE PROJECT.
The Picture Project is the culmination of months of conversation, activism, inspiration and dedication to the goal of bringing together a community of people. It began as a vision of Northern Nevada LGBT citizens giving of themselves to support their community. It has transformed into a fundraising and outreach event for the all-inclusive community served by Northern Nevada HOPES. The project, created by local photographer Liz Fairchild, features twenty Northern Nevada citizens with the common bond of community and the common desire to give of themselves solely for the benefit of others.
Northern Nevada HOPES is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those affected by HIV/AIDS. This mission is accomplished through ongoing, patient-centered clinical intervention, case management, and community leadership.
HOPES is excited to unveil The Picture Project October 1st 2009. On this same day, the Nevada Domestic Partnership Bill becomes law, allowing lesbian, gay and heterosexual couples to legally register as domestic partners.
Join Northern Nevada HOPES for this celebration of community featuring the unveiling of The Picture Project, October 1st, 5 to 7pm at the HOPES – Humphrey House, 467 Ralston St.
