This was not a date.  It was like a “coming out” of sorts.  It was my big night out with the girls and it was quite fun.  Now I’ll be the first to tell you that I am a disco girl but these gals can really shake it down with this Country Western Dancing.  They even have lessons before dancing starts for Newbies and Vets alike.  And a lot of times the Vets will take you by the hand and give you some personal attention.  Now don’t we all like that?  I’m just saying!!

Remember the Electric Slide well they do that too?  Remember when you knew the steps and you could groove with the best of them?  Well dust off your dancing shoes and give Country Western a try.

The youngins were there too and that blew me away.  But they were having just as much fun as I.  In fact they were a little devious, sneaking in pop/rock requests in between Country just for fun.  It was great, and how could I not sneak in “I Got A Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas?

Because it was a goodnight!  Good to see old friends and meet new.  Good to get and give hugs.  Good to flirt at my leisure.  Good to make a fool of myself on the dance floor.  What merriment dancing is and best of all joy is free.  So take a tip from me and go dancing, Friday nights at Washoe Flats in Washoe Valley.  7:15 for lessons and dancing starts at 8PM.  Bring a friend or not because you’ll make a whole bunch of new one’s either way.  And to my straight friends, you don’t have to switch teams just dance!
