It took awhile, but anti-gay pastor Rick Warren finally denounced a proposed Ugandan law that would subject gays and lesbians to life in prison – and even the death penalty, if they’re HIV positive.

Warren and his right-wing cohorts have tied themselves in knots trying to justify, explain away, or tip-toe around the relationship between Uganda’s form of condemning gays and lesbians and their own.

But you and I already know that anti-gay bigotry leads to violence, murder, suicide and despair.  And I hope you know that one of the best antidotes to that kind of mendacity is media – pro-equality media that reclaims the stories of LGBT lives from the right wing’s billion-dollar media machine.

Congress has yet to vote on the Employment Non- Discrimination Act
Marriage equality has been defeated in New York State, and repealed in Maine

And the loudest voices about LGBT equality are from those who are against it
